Our Story
My mother made her first macarons less sweet than the French ones — she thought the traditional recipe was too sweet to taste like anything. At the time she was renting kitchen space from a French chef who didn't much enjoy making them, and when his guests walked past her table he'd tell them, that's the macaron queen. We kept the name. Fourteen years later, the thing I hear most is from people who were certain they didn't like macarons.
